  • Comments Thread For: Garcia: Maidana Fight Was The Worst Thing For Broner

2012 Trainer of the Year Robert Garcia ended his year on a high note as his fighter Marcos Maidana scored a major upset over former WBA Welterweight champion Adrien Broner. Garcia has had a good year but no victory was as big as the one Saturday night.

Maidana-Broner has been the talk of the boxing community with everyone having their own take on Broner’s performance and how he will be able to bounce back. When BoxingScene and ESNEWS spoke to Garcia after the fight, he stated he felt Broner could still be great but feels he may have been pushed into this fight prematurely. [Click Here To Read More]

Broner is still just a contender. If they didn't try to forcefeed the paying public a 3 division future pfp undefeated champ, he wouldn't have even needed to fight Maidana.

He is young, and he does have skill and he is tough, but his team are to blame here. You don't manufacture pfp fighters at a production line. You cannot manufacture a ppv star. Otherwise "this" happens.

          Pill Popping

No one really wants to discuss the fact that the dude is taking pills in the corner during the fight. I said he was getting tired, then all of a sudden this resurgence of energy. You could of shot Maindana and he wouldn't have felt it. These jokers be cheating heavy. Random blood testing all day.

It ain't just Maidana, but yea most professional boxers are using all sorts of PEDs, especially the ones that get older.

It's a sport of cheats and liars, just sit back and watch them rip each other's heads off. I mean come on, this is the sport of the minority. Of course, they're all cheating. They're all poor as hell, and boxing has told them, in order to win, you HAVE to take PEDs.

You don't even need random blood testing anymore. Cycling and tennis have introduced biological passports, that are extremely accurate in relaying what a person is putting in their body.

Or maybe it was the best thing for him because he needed to be knocked down a peg or to.
