Khan's "Iron Chin" Against Maidana Proves His Losses Were Due To Weight-Draining

Originally posted by F!x View PostLol.. Ok, so let's apply your logic to Maidana:
Dropped by Omar Leon (a guy with 10% KO Ratio)
Hurt by Devon Alexander
Hurt by an old Erik Morales
Dropped by Victor Ortiz
Dropped again by Victor Ortiz
Dropped for a third time by Victor Ortiz
Dropped by Amir Khan
So going by your logic, because Maidana has been dropped multiple times in the past, including by a fighter with a 10% KO Ratio, that means, according to you, that Maidana has "no chin what so ever".

Khan didn't go down, yet he has a glass jaw
so all the ones Maidana knocked down/out or hurt have glass jaws as well
great logic dummy
He doesn't have a iron jaw, but it aint glass neither and Floyd aint gonna KO himLast edited by FrankieBruno; 12-16-2013, 04:24 PM.

Khan beats the likes of Prescott, Peterson, D.Garcia and Maidana any day ! this is what I always believe ! every single loss in his record was due to the lack of professionalism except for Peterson's which was a robbery by the referee !
The overrated Broner made Maidana looks like a monster ! this is the normal Maidana of Ortiz, Khan, .... nothing changed or improved ! he was always a very good boxer with a power ! he is a level above D.Garcia and Matthysse, but he is a level below khan, Bradley. Pacquiao or Mayweather

Khan never hit the canvas against Maidana even after taking similar shots to other fighters who have been floored by him. The reason is glaringly obvious but some just don't wish to admit it.. In the Maidana fight, Khan simply wasn't weight-drained like he was against Prescott and Garcia. There are also other circumstances surrounding those two fights which contribute to the losses. A new trainer who told Khan to rush Prescott and try to KO him in round one - that was of course the worst possible game plan going into the fight against a proven power puncher - especially when you yourself are weight-drained. In the Garcia fight, Roach wasn't even present for most of the camp because he was training Pacquiao in the Philippines - Khan trained himself for most of that fight camp. Still, the weight-draining can't be overlooked no matter how critical these other factors are.
The effects of weight-draining happened to Manny in his early career, he was knocked out twice due to being weight-drained. De La Hoya was a shell of himself against Manny due to weight-draining. Feather-fisted Ward knocked out a weight-drained Chad Dawson. Weight-draining does that to a fighter, it's been proven time and again.
But Khan's battle with Maidana shows that he in fact has better punch resistance and chin than average, when he's not weight-drained because he was able to withstand the firepower which fighters such as Broner, Ortiz and Lopez just couldn't deal with. He was able to do that because he wasn't weight-drained so his true punch resistance was allowed to reveal itself. Could it be argued that a Khan who isn't weight-drained actually has an Iron Chin?
