This sux, but regardless this would be a better Fall fight - like Oct. in Vegas. Maidana would generate a great buzz for May after the Broner beatdown. Maidana is the most worthy then Lara....Lara wont sell well- maidana-lets do it!!

I think this guy thinks Floyd invented the Philly Shell. Fighters have been using the Philly Shell for 100+ years and its been defeated for 100+ years. The style doesn't make the fighter. The fighter makes the style. Pac struggles with counterpunchers. Doesn't mean you can pull a counterpuncher out of a 4rd swing fight on ESPN and beta him. Floyd is better than Broner. But even at that, AB really doesn't even use the shoulder roll as a primary weapon. Its something he uses in close quarters mostly. Outside of that he's pretty much stacks with the high guard a lot like Winky Wright.

Like Floyd and Ellerbe admitted, it all depends on who Floyd and company (carefully) selects as an opponent. If they believe that Floyd's style can defeat the opponent's and it makes them decent money then they will APPROVE of the fight. Ellerbe said it even as recent as Floyd's last match.

Look at Maidana's last 4 fights vs Khans - factoring in overall performance........Not the same maidana that fought Amir....Maidana has much more ring intelligence and a more effective jab now. Amir looks softer and less fluent than he ever has with those last 2 wins...chino would splatter him in a rematch

Has Chino gotten better? Or, has he simply not fought anyone as good as Khan? He didn't look all that improved against Alexander from the couch in my living room.

What fighter of Floyd stature doesn't select their opponents? What I can't figure out is how Floyd, since the Judah fight, manages to fight someone at or near the top of a division and/or is coming off a signature win. Yet, he's carefully selecting.
