floyd only fights the best out there...thats why he is the greatest ever.

I hope he fights Kermit Cintron next...then Alfonso Gomez..

It will truly add to his legacy if he beats those guys.

Who's feeling this guys head up with this nonsense? He is not getting a fight with Floyd. Who da Hell telling him this? I'd be very surprise if he got this fight over Maidana, Garcia or any other qualified opponents at 140 - 154.

I just don't get it. IMO May weather has a great opponent in Maidana. Dude is the talk of the town pulled off a great upset against the guy many (not myself) were comparing to Floyd.
I would think he would be the more marketable opponent. Hope I'm right and the promise for a Khan fight happens later. If we can't get May-Pac let's ask for Maidana-May

There is plenty of doubt about how good Pacman is now. Plenty.

              I'd rather see Maidana/Thurman or Maidana/Porter.

May 3rd is a throwaway fight. Let the welterweights line up and earn it. We need a unification tournament between Brook, Porter, Maidana and Thurman.

There's really no one else left for Mayweather to fight, it's self-evident now that Khan is elite level after former victim Maidana beat Broner, Porter (who drew with former Khan victim Diaz) beat Alexander and former Khan-victim Malignaggi dominated former Khan victim Judah (who gave Garcia a tough fight). Not only does it show that Garcia was extremely lucky to beat Khan, just caught him on an off-night when he was weight-drained and undertrained, but it also underlines the fact that there are no opponents for Floyd more worthy than Khan, and able to potentially put on an extremely competitive fight.

It could potentially be one of the best fights of 2014 and more competitive than some of you imagine. But, this is providing Khan's inactivity doesn't work against him - which in itself is risky. He should have really taken a tune up fight in between, perhaps against Alexander who we all know Khan would have beaten easily after we saw what Porter did to him, but we'll see if the time off affects him negatively or positively come May.

They had their eyes set on Khan as soon as the Canelo fight was over. What makes you think the winner of this tournament will even get to fight Floyd?

What if it turns out to be K9 Bundrage, or some random ass opponent like that.

the fact people are debating whether Pacquiao deserves a fight with Mayweather is simply embarrassing. Just goes to show that emotions and bias derail people's critical thinking skills.
