Anyone else see Froch sucking up to the audience last night on SPOTY? If he thinks he can walk away from a rematch without his reputation taking a big dent, he's deluded.

"I was dominating the bout and it was becoming very one-sided"

I'm starting to wonder how high Froch would score on a psychopathy test.

Hmmm Calzaghe, as good as he was, cannot talk bout rematching! Only rematch he did was Veit. No Reid rematch? No Hopkins rematch?

You can always say what if and this would have happened. Froch has himself admitted he is nearing the end and only has 2/3 fights left. Why should he go over old ground? Groves shouldn't get hung up on rematch. I fancy him v Kessler as a fight.

I guess his own legacy is topnotch because of all the rematches he gave.
In fairness, nobody whupped up on him like Groves did Froch.

Calzaghe needs to pipe down on the subject of 'legacy'.

I don't think anybody was screaming for a rematch there other than Hopkins who never admits he lost anyway, it was a terrible fight that was hard to watch once.

That's your opinion and that's fine but the opinions that matter put him in the hall of fame.

Being from Carl's local area is at this time a tad embarrassing as we are ALL in shock regarding his attitude before this fight, the hammering he received during 90% of the fight and most of all his contradictory attitude after this fight.....Forget Ward 'going over old ground ' again with you as you MUST know it was hard to score you a round in that fight...the general feeling here in the realistic world from lots of people (nottingham folk) is this fight ended too quick ,
Groves was hurt , how hurt we will never know???
What is sure, if Carl fights anyone else next, given how the Groves rematch would pay and be an even bigger event than the first! This could only be seen as a complete swerve.
I hope Carl does the right thing for himself and his supporters but if my gut instinct is correct i'll go with what I thought immediately after the fight and that was 'Froch won't want to go any where near Groves again'.......I might of already been proved right!!.....I hope not
Well said... (That's why I like the Brits when they're truthful with their words...)

Nobody wanted the rematch, not the fans and not HBO. It was Pavlik or Jones. Calzaghe chose Jones - bigger payday and a PPV fight.

This bum thinks he has 3 fights left in him, when it was obvious to anyone that he was losing that Groves fight.
