Some people are confused. I want to clarify boxing welfare:

A welterweight like broner fighting: perez, ponce, escobedo, litzau

that's a joke. Once boxing decided to make things equal and take away his welfare, he got beaten easily by a crude fighter.

A welterweight/jmw like Floyd: bruseles, baldomir, gatti, sosa, old oscar, featherweight marquez plus scale cheating, green ortiz, green canelo, robert guerrero who got a shot for beating Katsidis and Selcuk aydin.

Its obvious after last night, why these fearful cowards don't take risks. You think Floyd wants to get Bronered by facing Pac?

He's got it too easy right now. Why bother when you can pick babies out of the crib like Canelo and Ortiz before they learn anything and get strong.

Boxing fans only lose when they worship false idols such as Floyd and Broner.

These kinds of debates are meaningless unless the fight is about to happen. Sadly, the very people who always brag about Floyd beating Pac are the ones who object to the fight. Its important to remember that Floyd only beat Ortiz by cheating. He needed a cheap shot to beat a cherrypicked green fighter.

If Ortiz was a few years older and more mature, he would've destroyed Floyd. Floyd only cheated because he felt Ortiz's power and looked for an easy way out of the fight.

This is why Larry Merchant basically called him a coward after the fight.

Floyd fans like to pretend this never happened.

Floyd is different than broner. He can counter that type of maidana all day, in fact, he will not just counter he will keep on turning this guy around. broner's counter punching timing is way off, his shoulder roll isn't suited for maidana too; he should have recognized it as soon as he felt that overhand right in the first round, floyd on the otherhand would have recongnized and adjusted his game that's for sure; also, broner was embecile enough not to use his footwork to keep maidana turning around to prevent him(maidana) from setting up his powerful pummeling combinations.
