Floyd ain't facing Lara, or Pacquiao, nor Martinez, Golovkin, Thurman - Certainly no one that's decent.

These are the sort of names on Mayweather's Radar: Berto, Alexander, Khan, Garcia, Maidana.

Floyd said it himself when he came back that he's only fighting against - at best - poor Champions and at worst - Crap Non-Champions.

Then if he does and wins, he suddenly will be ripped for not fighting Triple G or any other MW. You cant do that. He is a champion because he's that good. That doesnt mean he has to fight every guy.

The reason why you think Lara could win is because he's a natural 154 pounder. Why dont yout tell me about some 140 or 147 pound guys who can beat Floyd? You dont wanna see any of those matches because he's so good that he cant fight guys his own size. He has to give away a million pounds in his 5th division or be called a ***** if he doesnt. Its a joke. The same people dont demand for anyone at 154 to move up even just one classs but teh guy in his 5th divison who doesnt even come close to making the weight is the scared *****? Tell me how that works
Floyd is a champion at 154.... that means if he doesn't want to fight the toughest competition at the weight class that he is champion at, then he should DROP THE BELT AND MOVE DOWN, He should not claim he is the best if he can't face the best. Nobody is demanding fighters at 154 to move up because they ARE NOT CHAMPIONS AT THE HIGHER WEIGHTS ALREADY.
Floyd has fought at 154 twice in recent memory and isn't he the one who says skills wins fights not weight??

why are Floyd fans against good fights?
you motherfuckers have been doing this shit for YEARS
You initially said "nobody" so save that bull****. Canelo was hyped in the exact same way that Lara is being hyped up now. Mayweather supposedly was never going to take the fight because of the threat that Canelo posed. It's the same thing over and over, the name just changes.

I'm not against anything. I just choose not to ignore tw business reality of the sport just to hate on a particular fighter. I'm not going to cosign ******ity ad hypocrisy just to hate on someone either. People want Mayweather to lose so badly that they suspend logic and common sense to justify their hate. Common sense should tell you why tw Lara fight won't get made at this point. Deep down I think that a lot of you understand that and that's the reason that you're hyping him up.

Reigning lineal, unified, 2x champ at 154. Too much to expect him to fight Lara.

"nobody" clearly referred to diehards, don't be dense
you're nitpicking to have something to cry about
and Lara isn't being hyped now, he's being mentioned as a foe
nobody has put him on a pedestal of invoking fear from anybody
plenty have called for him to rematch Molina
plenty have referenced he had it rough with Angulo
real fans just don't like the Khan fight that's brewing right now
for that reason, they're looking around for the best foe out there
that foe happens to be Lara, at a weight Floyd's won 3 belts in
everybody knows Floyd-Lara is never gonna happen for business reasons
that's understandable, but real fans don't wean themselves on that shit
we're talking about good hypothetical fights, we aren't getting paid
the Floyd brigade goes apeshit anytime this happens though

Thing I don't understand with some of you boxing fans is that you don't want to see the best vs the best?? Who cares about PPV sales, who cares about who brings the most money etc.... We don't get any of the money that they make so why the hell do people make it such a big issue. All I want to see is the best vs the best, I don't care if the opponent is not PPv material.

People THINK it would be boring, if these two CHESS players are evenly matched then they would both have a desire to outpoint thus creating more activity than you originally thought.

I agree but I can't do **** about it. My 1 ticket sale or PPV buy won't make Floyd pick Lara over Khan. Its got to be a collective effort.

Sklls win fights so why not let him fight the Klit bros?

I never said anything about the belt. I always agree that Floyd is the Champ but he gets the normal time limit that everyone else does. If he doesnt want to defend it then strip him. I dont have any problem with that. I dont think Floyd does either. Lets be real, he's far bigger than the belt. He can get every single one of his belts stripped but it doesnt matter because if he wants to fight for one of them in his next fight, no one is going to turn him down because they want that money.

Im a huge Lara fan and its my #1 fight also but I can understand if Floyd doesnt take that fight. I think fans need to be realistic and say "if he takes it then great but he doesnt have to or he's not a coward if he doesnt". The only fight he rally has to take is Pac. There is no excuse from either guy not to make that fight happen. Ofcourse there are excuses and some may be legit but it should still get done. 154 guys though? He doesnt have to fight any of them. Its just icing on the cake

I hear you. But Lara isn't the best fight though. The best fight on paper for him is the Pacquaio fight at 147. Making it happen is a whole other issue though.
