Floyd has 1 potential fight that's competitive, and that's Lara
he's won a couple belts at JMW, so size isn't an excuse
nobody on earth thought Alvarez could do anything with Floyd
he had size, but nothing else to complement it
Pac's shot now, so Lara is the one fight that challenges Floyd
if you tell me Lara is the best fiight out there, or the fight you would like to see the most, or the only guy who has a chance then Im totally ok with that. What Im not ok is when people say that and then add on he's a coward if he doesnt take that fight or that weight isnt a factor since he has won there before or has a title there. Im sorry but being 150 on fight night is more than a factor whether people want to admit it or not

I agree I would like to see Lara vs Mayweather at 154 in May its the only fight I want to see next for Mayweather. Lara is pushing for a fight with Canelo. I think Lara beats him by UD. If it happens that will be a good payday for Lara which is why he wants to fight Canelo. I don't care if it would be a chess match between Mayweather vs Lara. Put Maidana vs Thurman as the co feat to that event and it would sell.

lol Nobody thought that Canelo could do anything with Mayweater yet over 2 million people forked over $70 to see the fight on PPV. Some of you will just say anything regardless of how dumb or illogical it sounds. You'll kick this same "nobody thought Lara could do anything with Floyd" BS if he were to ever take and win that fight. I see why Mayweather has little to no respect for boxing "fans".

          PPV caters to casual fans
those dumbasses thought Alvarez had a chance, but that's all
casuals don't analyze style matches, they buy for the names
why are Floyd fans against good fights?
you motherfuckers have been doing this shit for YEARS

You guys do this every time. Then Floyd fights and beats them and you move on to the next one Floyd is "afraid" of. Does it ever get old?

As a Floyd fan I want to see him fight Lara because its one hell of an intriguing match up but I don't think it would sell much unfortunately.

Laras a good counter puncher but he's got unfinished business at 154. Floyds only 3 fights at 154 have been mega fights. Lara doesnt fit that description.

Then when he does, he gets hated for not cleaning out the division. Its like people complain about him not fighting Sergio at MW. Then if he does and wins, he suddenly will be ripped for not fighting Triple G or any other MW. You cant do that. He is a champion because he's that good. That doesnt mean he has to fight every guy.

The reason why you think Lara could win is because he's a natural 154 pounder. Why dont yout tell me about some 140 or 147 pound guys who can beat Floyd? You dont wanna see any of those matches because he's so good that he cant fight guys his own size. He has to give away a million pounds in his 5th division or be called a ***** if he doesnt. Its a joke. The same people dont demand for anyone at 154 to move up even just one classs but teh guy in his 5th divison who doesnt even come close to making the weight is the scared *****? Tell me how that works
That's way too much logic for them.

Its about being realistic. He's not fighting Lara because there are not enough fans like us to make it a successful event.

At the PPV level, casual fans determine the matchups. Its more like sports entertainment not the champion/top contender system that boxing is based on. Its more about name recognition and fans rather than wins, rankings, titles and styles.

that's why it's completely understandable if Floyd doesn't fight him
have stated that many times in the past
but saying it's "unfair" to ask Floyd to fight Lara is bullshit
mention a potentially tough fight for the guy and his fans riot
