    Not according to Steve Kim:

Just wanna make this clear, giving a boxer a smelling salt or any other stimulant during a fight is strictly prohibited #boxing

But that video isn't enough evidence to convict anybody of anything so I don't think this goes anywhere.

It happened right after the 11th round. I just watched it on slow mo on my HD copy. There absolutely nothing on top of the napkins so it would be hard to prove he took anything. It did kind of look like there might have been a pill inbetween the two napkins and you can kind of see Ariza manuring it around with this fingers so it's right on the edge of the napkins before he puts it near Maidana's mouth. Could be nothing though.

Y'know what it is? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Here's is Alex's hand before he did the thing people are saying he did. Keep in mind that his hands are always in camera.

It gives you a boost though. I could see why in boxing terms it would be illegal.

Listen, shortbus. I'm not the one pouring aviation fuel on my dignity and throwing a match on it, unlike you, you sad, sad man.

Hardly compelling evidence in that video, plus why would you risk it with a rd to go in a fight you're easily winning ?
