Broner was a lot more hyped then Berto. But the thing is that Broner has better skills then Berto by far so Maidana's win over Broner is faaaaar better.

Maidana easily IMO the outcome was never in question after the second round while the Ortiz /Berto was more competitive and actually warranted a rematch. Maidana gave Broner a humiliating beating and very few thought he could pull it off making it more impressive.

Maidana over Broner. Broner at least did win titles in 3 weight classes, and has a lot more skills than Berto.

          Maidana over Broner.

Ortiz over Berto. Berto's a big ass WW, and a much meaner slugger.

Ortiz also took many more shots back, and had to really go through the fire.

Broner looked like a kid in there with minimal skills, and that's saying a lot compared to Berto.

Ortiz/Berto just for the sheer drama of that fight.

I remember everyone was saying Ortiz was going to get KO'd or just straight up quit during the fight and he comes out ****ing blasting. That was the hungriest Ortiz we had ever seen, he went in that fight with everything to prove and nothing to lose.

We also have to thank that fight for giving us the Emmanuel Stewart "OOHHHH MAAIII GAAAAWD."

Broner's first title at 130 was a joke. Vicente Rodriguez? That was a title was gift wrapped, after be already lost to Ponce. Demarco was a good win and so was Malignaggi, but it's not like Paulie was ever at the top of the WW division.

IMO Ortiz over Berto was a much bigger upset. This was after Ortiz quit in the Maidana fight and had a few lackluster performances after that mainly against Peterson. Nobody thought Ortiz would win that fight. While Broner was a decent favorite I will think a lot if people questioned whether he could handle a WW that can punch. He didnt have the size advantage that he used to having and unlike Paulie, Maidana can punch. While Broner was built up to b a superstar I don't think anyone really wrote off Maidana because of his power. At th point Ortiz faced most people had already written him off.

Chino put on a more dominant performance, but Berto is a real WW who provided a tougher challenge.
