I hate to say it, but Vitali Klitschko should retire

I've been defending Vitali Klitschko from his haters for about ten years now on these boxing forums.

But I don't like what he's doing with the WBC title right now.

It seems he has little respect for the sport of boxing, and cares more about his political career. So be it, then he should RETIRE, not hold onto the WBC title for month after month and keep putting off his decision.

He didn't look good in his past two fights, he's slower than he was against Arreola in 2009. I didn't enjoy watching the faded version of him. If he has another fight or two, he may lose to a heavyweight he would have beaten in his prime.

It's not fair to boxers like Deontay Wilder and Chris Arreola who want to fight for the WBC title for Vitali to slow their careers. Bermane Stiverne seems to have differences with Don King that need to be settled before he can fight, but other boxers are affected by Vitali holding the WBC belt hostage.

    Vitali, please retire.

It doesn't look like Klitschkos want to retire. They can be champions until they are 50.

No reason for Wlad to retire. He's still levels above the rest.

On the other hand Vitali should retire. Somehow I always thought that haye's fight might emerge. Now when both fighters are pretty much retired it doesn't look realistic.

Vitali should retire. His heart is fully devoted to his political battle.

I think he wants to become a president, while he's still a HW champion.
WBC is supporting him on this, because boxer/president is unprecedented.

I see it like this. Even if he is not sure what he wants to do in the near future, he could free up that belt and let someone else take it. If he decides he wants to fight again, it is not like he will have a hard time getting a fight to get it back
