  • Maidana, Malignaggi and Porter Have Proven That Khan Is Elite Level?

Khan's only defeats came when he was weight-drained and had poor training camps, similar to Manny Pacquiao and a number of other fighters who have been beaten in the past due to ill-preparation. It probably goes without saying and I'm sure most would agree that Khan would beat both Prescott and Garcia if he was operating at even 70% of his full capability, without the burden of weight-draining and poor training camps to contend with.

Maidana and Malignaggi both beat Broner (although Paulie was robbed) a guy who was already in some people's top ten P4P list but we saw how Khan dominated Malignaggi and beat Maidana clearly after flooring him in the first round. Khan was also able to absorb all of Maidana's shots on his so-called "glass chin" and never went down once. Broner went down twice, I guess you will have to concede now that his chin is nowhere near as good as Khan's, when Khan is in good condition.

Porter beat Alexander and we need to keep in mind that Porter drew with Diaz in their first fight - Khan's last opponent - so really Porter is approximately the same level as Diaz, and a notch below Khan. Alexander of course is even lower down the totem poll than Porter at this point.

It just goes to show that a properly conditioned Khan, when he isn't weight-drained, is a league above all these boxers named, he has excellent punch resistance, impeccable skills and blisteringly fast hands - when he isn't weight-drained.

The only logical choice now is for Mayweather to step up and face his greatest threat in the division. Perhaps Khan is the only elite level boxer left in the conversation or do you think any other boxers (except perhaps Pacquiao) could be considered anywhere near Khan's level at this point?

so other fighters win for Khan and it raises Khan's stock? sounds like fl0mo logic to me.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you guys have overrated the **** out of that "deep and talented" golden boy stable (I too was wrong about Broner).

A-men to this. Goldenboy has a lot of fighters, but many are overrated as hell as far as their class.

Khan is just under elite level, a Garcia rematch is needed now. In terms of talents, skill and physical gifts he is up there with the best of em. His resume at 140 is one of the best in recent years, only legit loss being to Garcia, and that too in a fight he was doin well in. Ten again, since then, Garcia has proven himself to be elite and he probably beats any 140 pounder on the planet barring maybe Provodnikov.

Khan is top notch but haters gon hate!

Well I thought Maidana could beat Broner, it wasn't too much of a surprise for me. I wasn't 100% sure who to pick but I knew Maidana had a very good shot in that fight at causing the upset. I already thought Paulie beat Broner anyway.

Broner did well to last the full 12 rounds though so he gets credit for that but we can see now that Khan is a whole level above these guys. He beat Maidana clearly, floored him in the first round, took some great shots and still came out on top the clear winner. These guys just can't be considered in the same league as a properly conditioned, properly trained Khan who isn't weight-drained.

You're seriously going to discredit Khan after what he did to Maidana, Malignaggi and Diaz (and by extension Porter)?

It's just blind hatred at this point, you know full well Khan is in a higher league to these other top tier fighters - logically that places him at elite level and it proves he was simply weight-drained and ill-prepared in his losses.
