Robert Garcia did an excellent job tonight

Garcia had Maidana mentally and physically focused for this fight. Garcia kept telling Maidana to feint throwing a jab downstairs but come upstairs with a left hook. Excellent job by trainer Robert Garcia.

they came in with the perfect plan, broner always starts slow and has to warm up, maidana put him in fear from the first bell, i cant believe broner survived to see the end, he also had help from the ref taking a point away from maidana when broner was hurt bad the second time

Another thing that idiot interpreter got wrong is when he said that garcia said to stop throwing the jab. He said, if you are going to throw it lazy, he's going to counter it and you might as well not throw it.

Later in the fight he was telling him to feint the jab and use the right hand over the top. I thought Maidana's best punch though was the left hook AFTER the right hand because Broner was leaning right into it.

Garcia did his research, he clearly analysed watched the Rees-Broner fight....where Rees was throwing left hooks that were looking to hit the body but actually coming up top & the Paulie-Broner fight...where he saw Broner struggle with consistent activity & work rate.

He put them both together &made a great game plan.
