    Maidana "Champion" Appreciation Thread

So Happy for Maidana, I've seen him edged out twice in two close World titles fights with Kotelnik and Khan (i thought he beat Kotelnik, but close so no robbery) So i'm so happy to see him finally win the big one.

Broner was predicted by almost every Expert, every fan on Youtube, to not only beat El Chino but destroy him in the Process. Myself, SYF,Body Movin,Southpawology and some other always gave Maidana a chance and i hope you guys are happy as well.

Maidana dominated, brutalized and humbled Broner especially with the hair combing and fake **** from behind Ha. Maidana had to fight broner and also the ref tonight who was so baised. Also F uck you Doug Fisher for sucking Broner off after every round, some where he got battered in. You are a Joke.

    WAR MAIDANA!!!!, great performance Champ.

Major congratulations to Marcos Maidana. It's always a joy to see a hard working, crowd pleasing warrior like him win a belt.

Last year, my favorite performance was Sergio's against Chavez. This year, it is definitely Maidana getting his world first title with such a dominant performance. I was worried at first because of how much he rehydrated, he looked huge in there and I thought he might tire. However, he managed to throw almost 1000 punches, crazy. He did exactly what Paulie did, he buried Broner with his activity and overall aggression. Broner had absolutely nothing for him. Chino delivered a reality check and looked fantastic doing it.

Great post, i think Maidana should win upset of the year. I myself don't see it as an upset but i couldn't find an expert out there or even a Youtube prediction for Maidana winning. It was basically "how is Broner gonna win and how great will he look, Maidana is too slow, he won'r land a clean shot". Ha.

The fight page is up at Eye On The Ring if you want to share your fan card. Some of those middle rounds were close, to be fair.

Adrien Broner vs. Marcos Maidana Fan Cards.

What a great way to end the year.

Last year, Round 12 of of Chavez-Martinez was the most exhilarating moment of the year for me. This year, this entire fight was the most exhilarating.

Maidana has consistently given us at least one fight of the year candidate since 2009. It still drives me mad that Lampley never gave Maidana any credit when compiling his Gatti list.

I think Broner is too inexperienced to call it an upset, but I'm sure many thought Maidana would be the one who would get dominated. Make no mistake, Thurman and Broner got tested tonight. One guy passed and showed his skill-set and the other failed miserably and showed his inability to adjust before or during the fight. I think we might get Maidana/Thurman now, seems like the perfect time.
