    Brock vs Lawrence !!

To me it's funny that Brock's promoter said that Brock fighting Briggs is a step back, then he goes out and signs a fight with journyman Zuri Lawrence. Now Lawrence is a tough fighter and all, but he is just way out classed in this fight. This fight is much more meaningless than a Brock/Briggs fight.

    Brock is pathetically overrated.

So It goes in one ear and out the other.

        Naa.

Im not satisfied with his ranking at heavyweight. His biggest step up in opposition: Mcline.

He was floored and narrowly escaped victory.

But seriously, here is the qoute from Brock's promoter I was talking about. Main Events VP Carl Moretti has responded on comments made by Shannon Briggs on *********.com earlier today regarding a fight with Calvin Brock. "Briggs is saying that Brock pulled out...That was never the case. The fight was never seriously discussed...Fighting Briggs is a step back for Brock ...Beating Briggs, which Cal would certainly do, doesn't do a whole lot for him at this point..."

I agree, I had hopes for Brock as well until that fight.

              Yeah I know.....its bull****.

promoters and matchmakers can simply put him in with whoever they feel like: and somehow end up selling his image.

              Nobody is buying the "fight".

They are trying to buy the idea of an undefeated heavyweight prospect taking over the division; because he has an unblemished record padded with nothing but Taxi drivers and Paperboys.

It's laughable, which would sell more tickets?? Brock/Lawrence or Brock/Briggs?? The answere is easy and Brock just ducked his first real fighter.

My miniature point was that Brock's "team" could sell a fight with Bob Costas even though he was below the heavy limit.

My friend who posts on this site as username 7001 went to Brocks last fight (Bostice) and he said he was unimpressed with Brock. If you are a top prospect and you let David Bostice take you 12 rounds, then there is a problem. But Maybe Brock just had one of those days, but I doubt it.
