Shumenov/Hopkins is the easiest fight to make because of GBP and Showtime. Shumenov was independent and couldn't get any fights. Hopefully after the Stevenson/Kovalev and Shumenov/Hopkins fights play out, the winners can get together somehow.

I guess you missed the fact that Hopkins and Richard Schaefer tried to get a Stevenson fight but HBO rejected it since they no longer work with Golden Boy

Shumenov has been trying for a long time to unify the division. He's ready for Hopkins. I hope Hopkins is ready for him. I think he is much improved and has pretty good power. People underestimate him because he hasn't gotten the big fights he's wanted. Let it play out people. I think Shumenov will be taking on Stevenson or kovalev if their people can make it happen.
