    like it doesn't make sense to me, why can't they be gay? you would have your body still intact then trying to turn it into something it's NOT. people can do whatever tf they want but if you think ur trapped in oppo sex body, you have a mental illness. thats just my opinion
    For a start there are many more sex gene combinations than just xy and xx and the Y chromosome DNA basically codes for male hormones such as androgen and testosterone. In order for hormones to work they need receptors to attach to which some people don't have or they are not fully functional. Just like some people are immune to HIV because they don't have the receptors for the virus to attach to.

    The male and female brain are physically different and there is quite a bit of physiological evidence that suggests you an have an at least partly female brain in a male body and vice versa.

    It would still be considered a mental illness I guess, but there's more to it that just being crazy.
