But now that he has been reduced to 5'8 and his frame being nothing but skin and bones, he has no real advantages over the small Welterweights like Broner, Bradley and Shawn Porter.
I wouldn't say that, he hits harder than all three of them especially at WW. Broner I don't think has much pop in his punches, Bradley has none and Porter... well maybe but I need to see more.

I guess that's one of the perks/privileges fighting on HBO, they just go with the inflated numbers.

But still, how someone gave themselves an additional three inches is amazing to me. Usually they bump it up an inch over what they actually are.
HBO didn't play around when it came to Chad Dawson's height I remember Jim Lampley and Emmanuel Steward saying Dawson was upset that they wouldn't list him as 6'3" because he only measured in at 6'1"3/4 but Steward said regardless of what anybody said Paul Williams was 6'3" but would hunch over making him 6'1.

What posters have added that is known is that Thurman is freakishly strong for his size. Not that it matters but I remember years ago hearing Shane Money could bench over 350lb which is what I would consider freakish considering these are little men.

Everybody lies about their height, very few boxers, and even people are honest.

David Haye is listed at like 6'4 but in reality he's only around 6'0 lol.

            Most boxers heights are wrong.

Floyd is around 5'7 (not 5'8)
Canelo is around 5'7 (not 5'10 or later 5'9)
            Pacquiao is around 5'5 (not 5'6 1/2)
Marquez is around 5'5 (not 5'7)
            Cotto is around 5'6 1/2 (not 5'7)
Khan is around 5'8 (not 5'10)
De La Hoya is around 5'9 (not 5'10)

Boxrec had everyone believing that David Lemieux had a 64" reach for ages. They finally got it right at 70 after showtimes re-measuring LOL

I hung out with Thurman for a while when there was a golden gloves tourney here in Florida. There's no way he's anywhere close to 5'11. I'm 5'11 and I was much bigger than him.
