  • Who has had the worst year in boxing

Who had the roughest year in 2013, whose stock has dropped

off the top of my head

    1. dawson, went from lineal champ to being ko1 and probably shot

    2. jmm, has lost all momentum from the manny ko

    3. Rios, lost to alvardo, lost to manny, fails drug test

    4. Donaire, went from top 5 p4p, undressed by rigo, looked mentally shot vs vic

    Any others????

Seth Mitchell after losing to Arreola in 1 round & probably will be stuck on Friday Night Fights for good.

David Haye since he may have to retire for good, or so he says.

Donaire hasn't had a great year either. His next fight will determine whether he still has it in him to be a good fighter or not.

Shane Mosley. Stopped by Anthony Mundine, doesn't get much more depressing than that.

Dawson is the easiest pick here because he only fought once I believe and got knocked out in the first round. But even though he only fought once and lost, his stock took a massive hit. He lost his titles and his P4P ranking. Just a year ago we were debating how he's in the P4P and how he was easily the best LHW and then all of a sudden he loses to Ward in 2012, and then comes back against Stevenson and gets leveled in the first round. Now he's not even considered top 5 in his division anymore. That's a massive blow.

From your list Rios definetely. Started off the year undefeated now has two losses but worse of all these failed ped test.

Mares also had a bad year even though he won a belt he lost it in his first defense by first round ko.

Dawson or Donaire. I would say Donaire because he got exposed pretty bad but Chad got KO'd, and hasnt fought again. I dont even know that he has another fight scheduled any time soon.
