Really, didn't look like that early on in the fights???Originally posted by JuicyJuiceBenn SET OUT to win on points against Amparo, Morgan, Lescano, Galvano x 2, Piper, Gent, Eubank II, Wharton and Giminez. And he showed great skills under Jimmy Tibbs the way he ducked and weaved under punches while placing his own punches to the vital points (liver, heart, chin, temple, solar plexus, under the floaring rib).
Could be wrong though, although you missed my point!Comment

Er.. OK, thats me in my place then.Originally posted by JuicyJuiceUhh, yes it did???
You still missed my point, are you telling me that Benn thought 'OK, I'm one of the hardest hitting, devasting finishing fighters around, but today I'll take it the distance'?
Or are you saying that after he realised that he couldn't stop certain fighters he then boxed on for a points decision?
If you have a inside line to the inner thoughts of Nigel Benn then I'll quietly shut up if not then my opinion stands, as an opinion!Comment

It's well known that Benn paced himself more after the loss to Watson and paced himself even more after the loss to Eubank. And that under Jimmy Tibbs he was then a mature boxer who fought more intelligently. Were you hiding under a rock?Originally posted by MickyHattonEr.. OK, thats me in my place then.

I never suggested he didn't pace himself, still didn't stop him trying to stop his opponents.Originally posted by JuicyJuiceIt's well known that Benn paced himself more after the loss Watson and paced himself even more after the loss to Eubank. After Watson:
Quinones TKO 1
DeWitt TKO 8
Barkley TKO 1
Sims KO 7
Milo KO 4
Lescano KO 3
Sherry KO 3
Galvano TKO 4
Piper TKO 11
Gent TKO 4
McClellan KO 10
Nardiello TKO 8
Perez KO 7
As for the 'under a rock' comment, surprised that a man a few months younger than me cannot read others opinion's without allowing them to grate him personally.

Benn SET OUT to win on points against Amparo, Morgan, Lescano, Galvano x 2, Piper, Gent, Eubank II, Wharton and Giminez. But if the opportunity was handed to him on a plate to go for a knockout or stoppage then he did. Like against Lescano, it was easy stuff, Benn just started hitting Lescano a little harder and suddenly Lescano was all over the place. Nicky Piper kind of fell to pieces in the eleventh round, his hands dropped and Benn threw a bunch of combo's because Piper was clearly gone. Gent suprisingly caught and rocked Benn, causing Benn to retaliate. Under Tibbs (Galvano 92 through to Giminez 94), Benn's mentality was totally different. He knew Tibbs was the best trainer he ever had and ever would have, and that Tibbs would walk away if Benn didn't do as he was told. Tibbs told him to pace himself and be prepared to win the decision.Originally posted by MickyHattonI never suggested he didn't pace himself, still didn't stop him trying to stop his opponents.
