You dont think a fighter could be ruined just like that? Especially at his age and with his style.

I agree... In fact, it's more than obvious...
Every time someone says it people automatically think they're trolling.

He still got a fight or two left in him I just don't know if they should be against a younger Cotto or GGG at this point. Murray sadly was touching him up at the end of their fight. Shouldn't have been able to hold his jock strap.

Murray was the one hurt in the later rounds

Thats because its been documented that Martinez came into the fight with that knee injury. He broke his hand kn Chavez' face, also a pre existing injury (a bad one too, apparently it was almost career ending. Look at his left hand knuckles).

People also forget Martinez had a complication after the knee surgery (something about the altitude change when he tried to fly back if i recall) in addition to not properly healing up. Chavez did nothing in the grand scheme of things, just added a bit. You were looking at him being buzzed plus fatigue. Martinez has been taking shots by big ass dudes like Pavlik, Chavez, Murray and not to mention the P Will war and other tough fights. Hes clawed his way to the top with no help. Dudes a lion. Props.

Whats worrysome though is that a lot could go wrong from here til then and will he even be cleared to train at full speed? Can he train his legs enough for a fight with his style of fighting? Are his hands even healthy? Dude hits hard how will he keep dudes off when his legs wont if his hands fail? We'll see. Hopefully he does okay and gets through his next few fights injury free and retires on a decent note.

Has Martinez made any comments regarding his recovery or intentions to fight Miguel?

                  Yes.

Yes. He stated that he wants the fight in June. He was cleared a couple of days ago to resume full training. Cotto will take the fight and attempt to make history. It's a good time to fight SM.
