How About Floyd Mayweather vs. Peter Quillin at 160?

Dan Rafael bought this up in his chat and it was something I never thought about. He could easily go to 160 and fight for a middleweight title.

Would this be a good alternative?

IMO, yes This is far better than fighting Khan even though its not the MW fight I want.

If it's at 160, or close, yeah. That'd be a big risk that you'd have to give Floyd credit for. I think he'd win, too.

I think if Mayweather was going to fight for a middleweight title though, he would just wait for the Martinez/Cotto winner so he can get the lineage.

if Floyd was to make a one time round trip to the 160 division, I'd like to see him fight a p4p guy not a nobody

Meh. Quillen is a nobody, and doesn't bring the skill to make it exciting.

This would remind me of Anderson Silva moving up to LHW and facing bums like Stephen Bonnar, Forrest Griffin, and James Irvin.

            It's a gimmick type fight.

BS fight. Floyd would school that guy without a doubt.

Why does he has to face the weakest title holder at 160? Why not Golovkin or Sergio huh?

Might as well fight Martinez or GGG if he's willing to go up to middleweight .
