Pacquiao's Sparing Partners, tougher than Floyd's Opponents

Two of Manny Pacquiao's former sparring partner have become world champions this year. Shawn Porter with his rough all action non stop style taking Alexander's title and Ruslan Provodnikov, hard hitting willing to die determination who brutally busted up Alvarado for the title at light-welter as well as giving Bradley a severe beating and unlucky not to have won that bout as well.

They have proven their worth as prize fighters in their own right and shows what tough training camps Pacquiao and how Manny always wants to fight the best even if it is just sparring.

I would state that these two champions are better fighters than Mayweather's recent opponents, namely Victor Ortiz and Robert Guerrero, and would back either man to take out Floyd's former foes.

I would also suggest that both men learned a lot from their camp's with Pacquiao to make themselves world champions.

It really shows what a cherry picker Floyd is when Pacquiao faces better opponents in sparring than Floyd does for his PPV borefests.

Fighters spar other good fighters all the time. So what? I'm sure Floyd has sparred with plenty of champion fighters. I don't even pay attention and I know he's sparred with Lamont PEDerson and Paul Spadafora.

You singled out Floyd's weakest opponents in recent years, well done.

It doesn't matter anyway because sparring is just training, having those amazing fighters with him didn't help pacquiao one zip when he was stretched by Marquez.

Guess we should have Pac's and Floyd's sparring partners go at it on the undercard of the big fight as soon as uncle Bob gets around to finishing that new stadium.

Porter and Providnikov were largely unknown when sparring with Pacquiao, and now they are champs.

Manny has sparred with with 2 good and tough fighters. His fights with Clottey, Diaz, and Rios were sparring sessions that actually counted as real wins. So its a wash.

Obviously, a big earner like Manny can afford to hire top notch pros to spar. Thats smart. Hopefuly manny will fight either Porter or Ruslan next in a real fight rather than sparring.
