I was just watching a documentary about little girls (8 yrs old) prize fighting in Thailand. Its a sad thing but poverty will force you to do things you otherwise wouldn't do. RIP young warrior.

They do it all the time in Thailand it is meant to be a showcase thing. And Muay Thai is their national sport.

That said I did see a really young kid who can't have been much more than 8 get stopped. When we got the taxi home the victorious 8 years old had an envelope of money and his parents drove the tuk tuk.

sad to see this happen to anyone, let alone a young man who's barely started living his life. I wish him and his family the best.

This shows how serious this sport is. This is why i find it so disrespectful when people call these boxers cowards and bums. Even with pads people could get seriously injured.
