Yeah it's a good watch you also get to see the amount of boxers who never make it because their style is not amateur material and how heartbreaking it is for them as kids but you wonder how great they would do in the pro's it touches on everything even the 3 "who betrayed their country" back then im Guessing from the time must been Gamboa and Solis been two of the three. I felt bad for the poor little guy who wasnt making weight imagine having to deal with that **** as a child on that level.

I just watched that a few days ago, excellent documentary. Those kids are basically young Spartans in training.

Exactly he is great. I just watched Rigo Agbeko and you can't blame Rigo; Agbeko didn't want to fight. Rigo hits hard, is too precise, made Agbeko do a 360 at one point and he just didn't want to fight.

Rigondeaux is better defensively than Floyd.

Pretty much Cuban trainers go to china to train their boxing teams as well but when i saw this documentary a few years ago I felt for those kids only the best of the best make it and some who are great and could be great as pro's will never have the chance and get lost in the background. This documentary is some real **** the odds of making to the big time is small and the **** they go through everyday reminded me of boot camp like a life in boot camp. I haven't seen one of those kids in the documentary in the Cuban team yet pretty fking hard to make it indeed.

The training is grueling. It's unlike anywhere else in the world. It was adopted from the Eastern Bloc.

You train in the morning, go to a special school, then you train at night. This is the schedule from Monday to Saturday. Sunday is the only day off where you can meet your family.

The Top boxers in the farm get special vitamins. The lower level boxers from the farm get worse vitamins than the top boxers.

I had seen parts of the documentary , I just watched most of it and its beautiful. There's no other way of describing. The determination , dedication. Some inspiring stories. Holy **** its crazy. I knew Cubans took their boxing serious but I didn't know it was to that extreme. It's like on of the kids said , it has been the sport that has given Cuba the most gold medals. Those are some young kids going through some big boy workouts. Props to them. No wonder their boxing is so good.

There also some hilarious things. Some crazy brainwashing going on from the government. That announcement that "El comandante" (lol gtfo) made. Then the kids talking about If U.S.A was to invade us right now we would go and fight them. Holy ****!!!!

I remember I had a coworker that use to tell me about it and I thought he was exaggerating. He used to tell me that when he lived there people would be like "The Americans are coming , we are going to be attacked , state of emergency" and that people would get all crazy and hide and prepare for an invasion. And that it happened very often and nobody ever came lol. And they always had the people scared with that. And after seeing the documentary I think he was telling the truth.

                  Some ****ed uo ****.

No exaggeration there those are actual drills they used to have everyone in Cuba pretty much was supposed to turn into a guerrilla fighter in case of an attack and since military service is obligatory at a young age for everyone everybody is trained to handle weapons some brainwashing indeed when I got to the states as a kid i thought Americans hated Cubans come to find out nobody gives a fk but a few exiled bitter old rich Cuban fks in Florida too bad they have so much political power XD. I had an idea growing up of what those kids in specialized school went through but that is straight up boot camp almost like living your whole life in marine's basic training.

                      Brainwashing? That's an understatement!

Then people wonder why Rigo won't change his style. When you train like that and do it for so long, can you really blame him?
