Already did but Samson lewcowicz who has some beef with GBP and expesifically with Richard told ESPN "a los golpes" that Canelo would have leave GBP and Showtime if he ever wanted that fight.

They desperately want Canelo to fight Cotto who's shopworn so Canelo can look good again. I hope Cotto picks Sergio. I think that's a much more fair matchup because of the point they're at in their careers. After that it will be interesting to see where Canelo has to go from there. BTW, Cotto doesn't need you. He could retire and still have all his respect or he could fight others not named Canelo and still be good,, Sergio, Marquez, etc

Why the writer say that a fight with Martinez would be for less money? First of all Gaby Pe~agaricano already said that the 10Mill offer was BS from GBP's. And 2nd the writer doesnt even know how much TR is offering Cotto for the fight.

GBP is so desperate to keep Canelo as a PPV attraction. Floyd made him look so ordinary, that it will be nearly impossible. They know they need a win over a big name to get him back to the big money, and that spells Cotto. Miguel though has other options.

Mexican's people confidence in Canelo has absolutely taken a major hit since the performance against Mayweater.

If he fights Angulo in March and gets heavy promotion in Mexico he can restore some of his stock value especially at home. If they put Lara vs. Kirkland in the undercard and Canelo gets past Angulo, the winner of those fights should meet for the world title in the July.

If Canelo earns the respect of his people the hard way, then it will make sense for him to fight for great paydays and legacy fights vs. old proven champions like Cotto or Martinez at the end of the year.

He was just handed the easy road to boxing's biggest opportunity (fighting the best) and left a proud nation in disgrace before millions of people. Let him prove his worth this time.
