In the midst of a garnishment, filed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue, Top Rank Promotions boss Bob Arum released a statement saying that they paid the IRS in Pacquiao’s behalf.

"For each of Manny's fights that occurred in the United States, including those in 2008 and 2009, Top Rank withheld 30 percent of Manny's purses and paid those monies directly to the Internal Revenue Service via electronic funds transfer," the statement read.

"Top Rank has deposit confirmations for each payment. Top Rank has done the same for all U.S. endorsements it has facilitated on Manny's behalf."

Pacquiao’s lawyer Tranquil Salvador, however, denied these latest claims. “

I believe Arum and Koncz have a fake company in Pac's name that they use to evade taxes by writing off losses. Why would Manny be sending part of his purse to a company to pay bills? Shouldn't the company covers its own expenses? As Arum mentioned this, with my accounting background, i knew something was up!

I'll wait for all the facts on this one because honestly there are too many cooks in that kitchen to know what the hell is what. If his money was going from the network directly from the IRS as is stated then I don't get why this issue is happening or is there revenue being paid later after the bout that's maybe not having it's taxes taken out...like digital sales, etc or some shhh. How the IRS waits till these guys owe more than $5 million is crazy, it's like they want to make the number as big as possible.
