What makes you think Lara will be the best? Unless Floyd vacates or stripped he'll stay the man in the division, it's lousy but that's the case. Canelo will beat up on someone to win a title and be ranked second. Cotto, if no Martinez fight, will end up with some belt too and Cotto/Canelo will probably happen.

Lara is very good and he might be the best 154 pounder in the world but I think Canelo has a chance to beat him. Last I heard Mayweather only fights Cotto at 154. Guys like Lara and Canelo have to get down to 152. Maybe Lara won't agree to fight Floyd at 152 so they won't fight. I think Mayweather will stay at 147 until he retires.

You forgot he actually has to fight Canelo. I think Lara spanks him but Canelo will avoid this at all cost. Laras only hope is Cotto beats Martinez then Canelo and then fight Cotto who wouldnt back down from this challenge.
