Is it true that Vargas blew up to over 200 lbs? If so, he's gonna be weak in this fight from straining to lose all that weight. Mosely might win because of this.

However, i think people are writing off Vargas so absolutely they elavate Mosley to the standard of fighter he used to be. But Mosley hasn't looked that good for years. I consider De La Hoya a bigger puncher than Mosley, only slighty though. If Vargas can fight on almost equal tems with Oscar then Mosley is not going to walk through Vargas. This has the potenial to be fight of the year if only because i think both fighters realize that a loss here could end their career at world level.
I pick Mosley but i wll not write off Vargas. In his prime he was a very good fighter who could box and punch. I would be shocked if Vargas won the fight but it wouldn't be a Douglas Vs Tyson shock. The poster Lostguy reffered to this match being a mismatch! Sorry my friend, that is bull****. Vargas has heart and will fight till the end. Although i pick Mosley, Vargas knows this is the make or break fight and i just hope the bookie odds for this fight reflect the general oinion on this site. If Vargas was like a 5 to 1 underdog i would risk ten bucks just in case.
the way i see it, i'm not elevating mosley...but am hopeing its not wishfull thinking to think a more active and confident mosley is going to show up for this one.this is IT for mosley.and he has to know it.

mosley is going to beat vargas so bad that i hope the ref stops it because vargas won't go down even if he's punchdrunk.why let it go on to later rounds if vargas can't win.like i said i don't think this is wishfull thinking.even if vargas gets lucky and connect the faster and more skillful mosleys chin can take it.
i could be wrong but i don't think so.

Mosley by decision. Vargas LOOKED CRAP in his last 2 fights. Mosley's handspeed and power will give Vargas problems. I don't see any of Vargas that can BEAT Mosley.

Yeah I think the fight will be close. I'm leaning toward Mosley to win a split decision, and yeah

his hands are just too fast I think.

I hope Nando wins though, Personally.

so very true, (well he had some kind of power at welter, too)

but vargas looked like total **** lately. Mosley did not look "sugar" at all, but vargas looked horrible.

                    we'l see.

but who really cares? these guys are past their primes and endured enough punishment in their careers to make me sorry the fight happens (especially vargas).

hmm both past their primes fighting at a time where noone is really interested in their careers, mosley at a horrible weight(has he even stopped anyone at 154?, vargas with the new crap style of his( i miss the old go for broke style) but hmmm does this make anyone really want to watch it?

not really but i'll watch anyways just because i like "the old vargas" no this "old vargas" i hope he wins by ko, unlikely secnario but i hope so
