P4P lists involve many criteria. Current form, opposition, ability, etc. Rigo has one elite name on his resume: Donaire. Guys like Bradley, JMM, etc have fought the likes of Manny, Floyd, JMM, Morales, MAB, Ward, Kessler, etc. Get it? They have fought more elite/tough opponents. This is like the basics of P4P. I think you are getting upset because you think I am hating on Rigo but you just dont understand how others create P4P lists.
In 1998 Mayweather was #8 pound for pound. First time he appeaed on the list. His notable wins were Genaro Hernandez and Manfredy.

In 1999, he was elevated to #2. In 1999 he beat....LOL...Get this.....Carlos Alberto Ramon Rios, Justin Jukko and Carlos Gerena.

    Hernandez
    Manfredy
    Ramon Rios
    Jukko
    Gerena

So is p4p REALLY about resume. Or is skill considered only when it relates to an up and coming American superstar?

Interesting. But how many were champions in 8 professional fights and how many dominated a top 5 pfp fighter this year and how many returned with a performance limiting a fighter who averages over 1000 punches a round to barely over 300??

Furthermore the meaning of pfp is basically a mythical gauge consisting of a "who would win", if certain fighters were the same size. You can't simply make up your own meaning then shove it in there like 4 corners would.

I really dont understand this site...man I am making the simple point that p4p lists contain MULTIPLE criteria depending on WHO creates them. So , in fact resume, ability, etc can ALL matter. I swear youse just want to argue for the sake of arguing. I've never said anything negative about Rigo or made any nationalistic claims so take that **** somewhere else.

Any sensible boxing fan should at least have Rigo in their top 5 P4P list.

You are a very frustrating person to have a discussion with. My entire point is that p4p lists are subjective and you cant just make end-all be all rules. YOU, my friend are accusing me of doing that while at the same time definitively saying Rigo is #3. Does that sound hypocritical? because it is.

Lets just agree to disagree...I need an advil.

Take it easy bro. What I'm trying to do is inform you what pfp means. And it means who would win if said fighters were the same size, that's it. Now people can make up whatever guidelines they want to personally, but that doesn't change what pfp actually stands for. Furthermore, the true meaning of pfp has been twisted into a popularity contest of late. I'd agree to that.

                You said this:

"Guys like Bradley, JMM, etc have fought the likes of Manny, Floyd, JMM, Morales, MAB, Ward, Kessler, etc. Get it? They have fought more elite/tough opponents. This is like the basics of P4P."

I gave you an example of a fighter that had a decent but not great resume being ranked the #2 pound for pound resume and you complained. And both were The Ring ratings. The Ring ranked Floyd #2 because of his talent but when it comes to Rigo he's #8.

And I wasn't criticizing you of nationalistic **** I was criticizing The Ring who is responsible for both lists.

Shocked they don't have Danny Garcia at 9 or 10 though.
They need to take Broner and Canelo off it before they can think about getting a pass again, it's borderline insulting to the sport.

It really is. We can hype up the TBRB and other lists as much as we want but The Ring will always be the list the masses turn to.

Resume shouldnt have much to do with it at all. When it comes to ranking it should be "what have you done lately?" just coz you beat MAB years ago shouldnt count for anything. Rigo is top 3 or 4 in my opinion on who he has beat so far and how hes beat them.
