glad you had a great time, homie. I started to go. Then I switched and said I was going to the Brooklyn card. However, then I ended up getting swamped with final exams and decided to just stay home and do all my work.
Should've gone. I was giving out a free ticket since my friend didn't go. People were skeptical of taking it too! I was like look, you'll be seating next to us (show them our stub) and they would look at it but wouldn't take it lol. I was like f uck ya'll then! Lost out on some dough but I learned a good lesson.
I knew you were going but didn't know your situation or else I would've gone lol. My bro bailed out on me and so did hougigo so I said screw it, I'm not riding up there alone.
I went to the the fights in AC this weekend excited as hell. I didn't know I would get a chance to meet so many people in the sport.
First of all, my boy bought a ticket off me and decided to leave me hanging at the last minute. I, at least, wanted to get face value for it so my wife and I were standing outside the front door trying to sell it when all of the sudden I see a few people walking in. No one else noticed but I immediately spotted Roger Mayweather!
He didn't have any security and no one even noticed him walking down the boardwalk. I walked up to him yelling his name and asked him If I could take a picture with him. He said sure and was very patient with me and my wife since her phone camera wasn't set up. We actually had to take 3 pictures just to get the lighting right and he didn't complain. He shook our hands and complimented my wife and proceeded to go in.
Right after the final bell, most people got up and left and I knew it was a great chance for us to move down to ringside. I figured we'd at least get to see the fighters go back stage. We walked down and the first people we saw were Jim Lampley finishing up his broadcast. Fucking Max Kellerman up in the ring, and Larry Merchant talking to someone ringside.
Rigo walked down and stopped to speak to the person next to me, so I yelled out his name and extended my hand and he shook it. It was awesome. My wife tried to take a picture of him but it came out all crazy lol.
When Jim was done he came over and spoke to the people near our group, I asked him to get a picture of him with my wife since she likes him a lot. He obliged and took a picture with her.
THEN, I was looking ringside to see who else was there and noticed a familiar face. Ward was standing 5 feet away from us! He also came over to our side and I asked him to take a picture which he did.
At the end Joel Casamayor looked lost as he came down from the ring, He stopped and spoke to several fans and shake hands with us.
Overall, the venue, the seats, and the fights were great. We had a lot of fun during and after.
