I just don't understand how Manny is considered a ppv attraction after going 1-2and ssuffering that brutal KO at the hands of Marquez. A guy everyone knows beat him each time they fought. Every time Floyd's name is mention they throw Manny in there like he's been lighting up the sport and he hasn't. The guy couldn't sell 500k his last fight and Floyd does those numbers just for a weight in. Every since the test issue was exposed Manny hasn't done anything but run and make excuses. People has his back though and mske demands like " The wjnner shoukd get in he hightest purse if they fight". What kind of fool comes up with a negotiation strategy like that? No where in ths history of boxing has a contract been agreed upon or even brought up except in Floyd's case. The man is undefeated but ths haters hold him to a different standards in stead of demanding their hero do what everyone else with winning records do. It just boggles the mind the loyalty people have for an obvious cheater. ......
So many ****** things said in this post ! From JMM beating manny every time and everyone knowing it to PAC being a cheater. Smh
No mention of Ortiz as a potential Alvarez opponent? It would be a quick turnaround from the Collazo fight but you suspect Victor would accept.
Part of it was the quick turnaround, but the other part is that I just don't see Ortiz having rebounded yet to get to that point. You may end up being right, though.
They better choose wisely if they want him to be a future PPV star.
One more loss in a row and it will be a major set back. And if he loses to somebody like Kirkland it's a rap.
Choose wisely Goldenboy hahaha... in my villain laugh

It has happened on numerous occasions. Anthony Mundine vs Danny Green is one example I can think of

Yep!! This was my exact argument to why it wasn't a win-win whether he won or lost to Floyd like a bunch folks were saying. He better, or they better, choose wisely just as you said.
The card in Brooklyn had an announced attendance of 9,363 but Jake is disappointed and feels it should have drawn more.
Meanwhile Stevenson-Bellew and Kovalev-Sillakh together drew 8,450. And based on that Adonis is now called a big draw in Canada and needs big money for his next fights.
Seems like we hold American boxers to a higher standard.
Now hold up a min ppl Canelo is not gone yet. Yea, he lost but remember who he lost to MAYWEATHER JR. Who hasn't? Kirkland is now the man? Last time he lost to slow but heavy handed Perro. Yea he had come back from prison. Like you don't have time to workout n recover. Floyd did too come back even thou he cheated at weight. He won. Who thinks Perro can whoop Mayweather? (Silence)... not bashing on Perro but we know the odds. Anyways bts I never really followed Canelo actually wanted Chavez Jr. to continue his dad's career but we know how he turned out. I hope he learned his lesson n gets it focused or quit change last name or sum. J/k on last one. But (I think) Canelo should come out stronger n smarter.

Hi, I'm David.

Stevenson is the lone boxer on that card "from" Quebec, and he's essentially out of Montreal and not Quebec City, where this card was held. This was his first card in Quebec City, and he drew that number. This is also the first year in which Stevenson's really begun to break out as a star, and not just a prospect. Despite that, in his first fight after beating Chad Dawson, against a fighter coming off a loss in Tavoris Cloud — and in Montreal, where Lucian Bute is king first followed by Jean Pascal — Stevenson drew 9,122.
That will only grow.
Contrast that with Judah-Malignaggi, which had two guys from Brooklyn, had the fight in Brooklyn, had tickets between $25 and $250, had three world title bouts on the undercard, had the main event between two guys admittedly on the decline in their careers but otherwise with good name recognition, and it still sold nearly 4,000 fewer tickets than Judah's fight with Danny Garcia.
That's also less than Danny Garcia vs. Erik Morales, Broner-Malignaggi and Hopkins-Cloud. Judah-Malignaggi had the smallest announced attendance of the five cards held at Barclays Center.
Meanwhile, a guy like Fernando Guerrero was selling 5,000 to 6,000 tickets in the sparsely populated chicken farm area of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, while Judah and Malignaggi do less than 10,000 in a metropolitan area of 20 million.
As I wrote, it's a decent figure for boxing in the United States, but it's fair to think that it should've done more.
