Watched the fight live in person and you could almost hear every clean punch landed by both men. It was tough to watch but damn was it exciting! I remember asking myself several times, why doesn't Smoger stop this?

There were times were Tapia was on the ropes getting tagged with multiple shots in a row and he would only answer with 1 punch. He took a viscous beating. I knew he was too green to step in with someone like Kirkland even with a long layoff. I don't think he can get his career back on track after Saturday.

I wish him the best though. He should definitely take a 6 to 8 month layoff and fight a soft touch.
