    Max Kellerman discredits Mexican fighters

He did it again as Rigo and Agbeko entered the ring. Rigo said in interview if he were Mexican the fans would love him. He says because he's Cuban and has a slick style he doesn't have a fan base. The commentators went on to say that the biggest reason is the language barrier. They also clarified that Mexican fighters don't have a problem gaining a fan base regardless of a language barrier. So here comes Max Kellerman with his two cents and crack pipe. "Ya well, Mexican boxers come from right across the border and already have a built in fan base here. Rigo comes from a small tropical island." He's implying that the only fans Mexican boxers get are strictly From Mexico. He's assuming Mexican fighters can't get any other fans. I know many White, Asian, and other Latinos who are fans of Mexican fighters. Why does it have to be a boxers own ethnicity to be called their fan base. I think it is very discriminative of Max to continue to discredit Mexican athletes in this manner. He continues to voice his non classy biased opinion and I would have to bring it to his attention personally if I saw him.

Homie, Mexican fighters have a built in fan base like Brazilian soccer players.

It's their thing. It's what they do. It's what they know. No need to get politically correct on this one.

Of course Mexican fighters have fans outside Mexico and Mexican-Americans. I am, and have been, a fan of certain Mexican boxers. But you're crazy if you think that their built-in fanbase isn't the major reason for their popularity. Even the great Marquez wouldn't have gotten so much notoriety outside of his Mexican fanbase it wasn't for Pacquiao. Kellerman said nothing that wasn't true.

I hope this is a sarcastic parody thread of that other thread saying what Rigondeaux said was racist.

Maybe you guys should PM each other and gang up on Kellerman by reporting him for racism, and he may get a 1 week ban.

What he means is that there's a large amount of Mexican-Americans in the US that always show support to their fighters from Mexico. Cuba doesn't have that.

            Stop being so sensitive.

I think the Mexican fans will like him if he actually fights.

I didn't think it was that big of a deal. There's no need to get sensitive. Mexican fighters have a built in fan base. There's nothing wrong with that.

Honestly who cares what Max Selloutman thinks. So tired of excuses from guys that don't get in the ring other then to do an interview. When Floyd was with HBO his style wasn't exciting enough. Last night he was stroking Rigo's joint about how he understands why he fights the way he does.
