Echo Arena, Liverpool - Irishman Stephen Ormond (16-1, 7 KOs) spoiled this night of boxing for Frank Warren and roaring Liverpudlian crowd by upsetting pre-fight favorite Derry Matthews (34-9-2, 19 KOs), who failed in a futile attempt to acquire Ormond's WBO European lightweight title. Ormond won a convincing decision with almost identical scores: 98-93 (twice) and 98-92. BoxingScene is an agreement with the latter score.

Butler was impressive again..looking forward to seeing how the lad does when he steps up in level. Certainly one to keep an eye on.

A shame for Derry. He has still got wins in him but certain kind of fighters will trouble him. Ormond was one of those fighters..great workrate.

Selkirk looked good, although the opposition was limited. He neeeds to become active now in 2014 and hit his potential. Hopefully the fight with Heffron can be sorted out again.

I thought Liam Smith looked sharp also once again.

Butler is shaping up very nicely; could be the best 'wee man' to have come through from the UK for a long, long time. Nice to see a good Brit in the sub-bantamweight weight classes.
