  • Comments Thread For: Dirrell Wants a Rematch, Bika Wants Bigger Fights

Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York - A thrilling slugfest, had the excitable Barclays Center crowd on its feet at times. Sakio Bika (32-5-3, 21 KO's) and Anthony Dirrell (26-0-1, 22 KO's) went toe-to-toe from the first bell and battled to a split draw. Dirrell floored Bika early in the fight, and Bika later lost a point for a low-blow. In the end, the final tally was a split draw: 114-112 (Bika), 116-110 (Dirrell), 113-113. After the scores were announced, Dirrell immediately left the ring without commenting on his performance. Ringside reporter Jim Gray was able to catch up with Dirrell in his locker room shortly after.

i only caught the last 5 rounds or so, but all i can say is that that dirrel guy should NEVER be given a world title...i've never seen somebody sook so much to a referee in my life...even those so called 'low blows' were not that low...all he did was complain and sook.... for f....s sake, you wanna be world champion, then you have to fight.

...and then the last 10 seconds of the final round was such a ****** thing for him to do, he puts his arms up and dances around the ring...he definitely wins the 'Fool of the Year' award.

It was a close fight. But the bottom line is neither 1 of them are any near Andre Wards league!

Bika won that fight, Anthony didn't do much except that knockdown he has more balls than his brother but still not active enough.

If Dirrell did get a rematch he better come in better shape. You can't win fights by only fighting the first half(ask Zab Judah).
