Some guys like Tua, who does have a good chin are afraid to take risks and possiably get KO'd. Like if Tua took more risks in the Lewis fight no doubt in my mind he would've been out. Damn even feather-fisted Byrd had Tua hurt in their fight. If they have a chin, dig to that body...there's a weak spot somewhere.

Tua being vulnerable to Lewis and to Byrd is open to arguments from various sides.Originally posted by SweetScienceSome guys like Tua, who does have a good chin are afraid to take risks and possiably get KO'd. Tua found out 2 things very early in that fight-1. Lewis was a lot harder to fight than he thought,2. He hits very hard. Tua decided to be content with going the distance and lose-than to try to really presure Lewis and risk getting knocked out. Tua didn't presure Lewis, he followed him around the ring-you dig?. vitali klitschko has a decent chin - lennox lewis of all people tagged him pretty good a couple of times, and he took it...
i'm gonna make everyone yell at me by saying that vassily jirov is the most un-knockoutable fighter around these days, even though he's been tko-ed twice recently. hear me out: the guy uses his head as a punch-absorber, like he doesn't even care that he's getting hit - i've almost never seen a heavyweight take as many solid head shots before going down as he did in the james toney fight - so i'm saying that because he absorbes such huge ammounts of punishment before going down, he deserves the iron-jaw award for the heavyweight division. if the guy actually learned some defensive skills he'd be a top-10 heavyweight, james toney level.Comment

I agree.Originally posted by TorinoThere is no such thing as an unknockoutable fighter. Every boxer can and probably, will eventually get knocked out. it's the nature of the sport.
It's about who has the least favorable conditions to get knocked out.
But in relative terms, one of the hardest to knockout these days is Nedal Hussein. I saw him got hit hard a lot by Pacman and Larios and not even see a change in his facial expression or even a small trembling of knees! If this guy could only improve his boxing skills, he will be tough to beat.Comment

Nobody here is mentioning Mayorga? If you can drop you hands against a fighter who is naturally 20 pounds heavier than you and is the hardest puncher in their weight division you are damn close to un****withable. He did get knocked down but down and out are two different things as far as putting him dwon from head shots not sure it could happen.Comment

We're talking "unknockoutable" and you mention a foolish fighter (for dropping his hands against Tito) who just got knocked out? I agree he has an excellent chin, but the fact that he was stopped (head or body shot) eliminates him from consideration.Originally posted by ReppinDubKNobody here is mentioning Mayorga?
