Lara beats Mayweather and if Goldenboy was smart they would make it happen.

Goldenboy would then have the fighter that beat Mayweather in their pocket. Frankly, no one else they have in any weight class is going to get the job done.

No way it happens. Add Lara to the list of southpaws.

Hype up Lara to the general as a monster and it might happen.

another guy who Floyd must fight, bottom line. See, that is his point. He's a small guy. He only goes up to 154 for big money fights. Everyone said he wouldnt fight Canelo. Now that he did and outclasses him, you find another guy to say that he wont fight. You have to be fair to these guys. The same with Pac. You cant expect them to fight every huge guy in the world.

Everyone wants to see Floyd fight Sergio. Then if he goes up to MW to beat Sergio, everyone will start saying that he fought at 160 so there is no excuses to not fight Triple G. People are never satisfied. Stop penalyzing him for being too good. It would be one thing if he came into the ring at 160 pounds or more but he's barely making 150 while all those guys are near 170 and above.

Would everyone love to see that fight? Sure but I would also love to see Floyd fight Ward. Doesnt mean that it makes sense. He has a right not to fight at such a disadvantage all the time if he chooses to. How many other fighters are doing that? The same people would get upset if you asked Lara to move up just one time, yet Floyd has to move up 5 times, not even come close to making the weight, and still beat top notch guys in there 1st division. You have to be fair. It would be one thing if he was a big name money guy but he's not

I don't believe that tho,esp with Mayweather fighting Guerrero..Oh and if he is even thinking about fighting Khan,a guy who is really unknown to the american public..Lara is a easy sell, dude has had two back to back good fights..He is a better sell then anyone Floyd could fight not named,Pac Bradley or Garcia..

I never said Floyd would not fight Lara, and I called That Floyd would fight Alvarez when most said he would not..It's Floyds most respectable fight, and tbh at this point I believe does the most for his legacy..Even more so then a fight with Bradley Pac Khan or Garcia..

maybe so but why is that? Its because in reality, he shouldnt be fighting him. Thats my point. He's being penalyzed for being too good. In reality he shouldnt be fighting a guy like Lara but he's so good that anyone his size just about seems like an easy match or a cherry pick so the only way to make it credible is to put him at a major disadvantage. Just give away a ton of pounds while your past your prime, in your 5th division, where you dont even come close to even making the weight let alone rehydrating 10 pounds over, to fight a guy in his 1st divison where he is all on point at.

Its like Floyd coming into the ring at 150 fighting a guy who only comes in at 138 or something. How would this fights go and how interested wouldl you be in them? No one wants to see those fights at all but the expect Floyd to fight in them in the reverse way. Then when he wins, there is a new guy who is just as big if not bigger, faster, and again in his 1st & natural divison. You have to be reasonable.

Atleast a guy like Sergio has a P4P ranking, a MW title, etc. Lara brings nothing to the table. Dont get it twisted, Im a huge Lara fan and it might be the most exciting fight in boxing to me but Im never on board with everyone always saying that Floyd & Pac need to fight these huge guys or they are chumps and when they do, then they find another guy.

If you tell me that Floyd & Pac or Bradley need to fight eachother then thats one thing but dont tell me all these small guys have to fight these big guys because that is not fair. No more so then Lara trying to fight someone 3 to 5 weight classes higher. If he cooses to then thats great and Im there but he doesnt "need" to. The only guy he really truly needs to fight is Pac and I blame both of them for that. No excuses for that fight not to have happened

If Lara beats Canelo that would put him on the Mayweather radar; its a good fight boxing wise but it doesn't make sense finaicially.

I understand your point, and tbh you make a good one..Floyd is the 154lb ring Champion..Now being the Champ, imo he should have to fight the other top fighters within the div..I could see if Floyd was just fighting at 147lb,I would not even had made this thread..Floyd holding that belt opens this discussion tho bro,and imo it's a fair one..All greats who moved up throughout history has had to deal what your saying Floyd has to deal with..Why should I look at Floyd differently??He holds that belt(Ring)he has to defend it and give others a shot..Or let it go..

Oh and I blame both Pac and Mayweather for that fight not happening as well..They both were on some bull****..

It's like Dan Rafael says, Mayweather only goes to JMW for a big money fight...Oscar, Cotto, Canelo. Lara isn't in that bracket.

I don't want to see it anyway, boring build-up, boring fight.
