I love Rigondeaux but anyone saying he is better than Mayweather needs to be shot. Mayweather destroyed Cubans in the amateurs.. He can box just as good if not better and has a better defense, strong inside fight game and can outmuscle aggressive fighters. Uses tactics that hit the gray area and reflexes on the level of a cat, plus his chin is extraordinary. He never been knocked on his ass and always won wether it was a war of attrition (Jesus Chavez, Castillio) or a technical match (Judah, etc).

Mayweather also use to switch southpaw.. He has too many skills people are oblivious to because of the media stereotypes. He's too smart, too good and Rigondeaux will not beat a 122 pound Mayweather.

I honestly don't understand when people say. He "needs to go for the kill" or that he "needs to take more chances. To me that's like criticizing a fotball team for going into a four minute offense late in a game when they have a lead or criticizing a team for taking a knee to run out the clock instead of throwing a hail mary. To me it makes no sense to give an opponent that has ZERO chance of winning an opportunity to beat you you to simply entertain folks safely sitting on their couch at home.

One KD accompanied by 12rds of total domination. You should be proud.

But just because a fighter gets knocked down, doesn't mean they aren't good defensively. It can happen to any fighter.
I think Floyd has completely clouded folks judgement as to what good defense is. Everyone "gets hit", even Floyd. The key to being good defensively is to not get hit flush and not get hit with more than one punch at a time. And Rigo is just s good at that as Floyd, if not better.

THis is the answer Rigondeaux's boxing style is absolutely beautiful to watch.

Rigondeaux is one of my favorites, the guy is the ultimate master, King Kai he is. Would like to see him against Moreno or Mathebula.

this was not going to be a competitive fight going in -- don't like Kellerman's hypocrisy by talking up Bika before the fight and then saying afterward that Bika is 'not in the same class' as Rigondeaux -- this was clear to any knowledgeable boxing fan before the fight & I'm sure to Kellerman also -- was just a keep busy and make some $$$$ fight for Rigo, period....

Lol at people saying Rigo is boring and only uses half effort in his fights. If he can beat guys half ass so easily just imagine if he went full throttle into his opponents. It would be an execution.

Here is Mayweather vs Aragon, the Cuban boy from my city. Close fight, but I think Aragon was the winner here.
