Big payday for both, probably in vegas, English and Mexican atmosphere in Vegas would be crazy, and for both its less risk, high reward. They'd be avoiding groves and ward respectively, and give us fans a possible foty candidate.
    Right... You're right...
This would be the only doable fight for Froch in his Vegas dreams...
As long as Chavez Jr. would regain some relevance.

      life changes. a thug changes.

froch took on all comers. now froch does not.

i'm not going to sh#T on a 36 year old, who is clearly slowing after a long career of taking punches in victory and defeat, for planning an exit strategy.

As you might remember Adonis was Carl's mando... Froch refused the fight and Adonis went North -- with all the success we know by now.

Froch has been through the ringer. People need to back off.

Then again most boxing fans will never understand this, and never be happy.

To be fair, he has been consistent on the weight issue (or at least his team has).

weight really isn't much of an issue. it's more of a distraction/excuse than a real barrier. 168 to 175 isn't much. 7 lbs on a guy that big isn't like 7 lbs on a bantamweight.

stevenson only moved up to 175 in his mid - late 30's himself. he and froch are very similar in size. kovalev and ward, too. ward takes off a good amount of weight to make 168. kovalev was 173.5 against cleverly, so we know he isn't shedding a dangerous amount to get to the 175 limit.

i don't think that weight will keep those four from fighting each other. in froch's case, he wants to plan an exit. in ward's case, he doesn't want to take the risk unless there's a ton of money in it. he can make 2 million on hbo fighting edwin rodriguez, so he won't take the same amount for kovalev or pimp steven, who are much bigger risks. two million isn't much less than HBO's top dollar, either. they literally couldn't afford stevenson and ward on regular hbo, adn woudl have to have it on ppv.
