To be fair, Froch has said repeatedly over the last few years that he's not moving up in weight..so a Stevenson fight isn't really a goer. Stevenson Vs Kovalev is the one the TV guys will push for.

He seems to be totally focusing on a Ward rematch, but i can't see that ever happening to be honest.

....avenge WARD's defeat???...avenge WARD's defeat???......avenge WARD's defeat??? HE IS PATHETIC,he can' beat WARD also if the american has a heart attack during the fight!!!
STEVENSON can move down and the fact FROCH has no interest of vendicate a very close friend is something ugly to listen, obviously he has not italian's blood in his veins!!!

It's so obvious I wonder why no one is mentioning that froch is waiting for Chavez jr next summer. Chavez sr. told espn right after the Vera fight that they talked with top rank and would pursue a fight with froch after the Vera rematch. Think about it. Big payday for both, probably in vegas, English and Mexican atmosphere in Vegas would be crazy, and for both its less risk, high reward. They'd be avoiding groves and ward respectively, and give us fans a possible foty candidate.

He should, it's where the money is at. Ward should consider it too.

Froch is within his right to not want to move up and I agree that he shouldn't have to. If Stevenson called him out and wants to fight, then Stevenson has to move down because you can't call someone out from a lower weight and expect them to move up to your own weight. But regardless of all that at the end of the day the fight that we all want and the fight that matters is Stevenson vs Kovalev, there's no ifs buts or ways around it, so hopefully Stevenson just agrees to fight and they set a date soon.

I've seen you bring the 'YANKS' thing into your posts from time to time, and usually in a condescending way. You suffer from The British notion that your American cousins are nothing more than low bred infants who know nothing about anything. So without going to the pains of enlightening your sorry arse, I'd just like to make one statement. The next time you're knee deep in ****'S, don't call us. And now, back to boxing.

I don't understand. Is he putting all of his eggs in the Ward rematch basket?

He doesn't want the Groove rematch which we all want to see, he doesn't want to move up, he already beat both Bute and Pascal, I don't much care for a Kessler trilogy. Who is he going to fight? If all that is there for him is the Ward rematch then he can't be putting any roadblocks to make the fight. He's going to have to give up some leverage to the champ.

Screw Froch, he is leaving himself with fewer and fewer options in the pursuit of Andre Ward
Exactly when did the "pursuit of Ward" start. Because I distinctly remember Froch saying after the Kessler rematch that a third fight with Mikkel was a priority over a Ward rematch. Citing Ward's "boring style." From where I'm sitting, Froch is simply blowing smoke up everybody's ass and Ward's name to duck Groves.
