Comments Thread For: Enzo Maccarinelli Targets Bernard Hopkins Showdown

Though he entered his 15th year as a paid prizefighter in October, many might be surprised to discover that Commonwealth light-heavyweight boss Enzo Maccarinelli is still only 33 years old.

And the hugely popular ****er from Bonymaen still clings to the belief that the rep he earned as a thrilling WBO World Cruiserweight champion back in 2006-8 might yet earn him one final fling at world honours, provided he can keep winning. [Click Here To Read More]

It's not the worst challenge to be made. Enzo is easily one of the weakest cruiserweight champs. What's wrong with enticing a legend with a belt in a new divsion? It depends how much Hopkins gives credibility to the WBO, but if he sees it as legit then he might bite.

Kovolev currently holds the WBO title; the article refers to when Enzo held the (wbo) title in '06-08.

I don't think Mac is enough a high profile name for Hopkins to consider. Although maybe this mAtchup sells in Enzo's homeown

Misleading headline. Enzo isn't targeting BHOP he's just saying it's a fantasy fight.

Lol, I like Enzo… but he is clearly a devastating tragedy waiting to happen. He doesn't possess the punch resistance for his weight class. He could seriously get hurt if he continues fighting anyone above top 15.
