"Paulie Malignaggie - He has mellowed down a bit after years of humiliating defeats."

That is a bit hard on PM.

He has a very good resume inn a highly competitive division.

Most professional boxers have an inflated ego, it helps them succeed in a tough sport.

It has nothing to do with where they live or were born.

So what about people from Queens County?

By the way Brooklyn is still Kings County. NYC is a strange place. Usually a city is in a county. Here five counties make up one city.

And, as people mentioned earlier - Brooklyn is varied: from very wealthy neighborhoods to hell-holes.

As to stressing Brooklyn versus NY. Brooklyn was an independent city until 1898 and up until WWII many people still considered it to be separate. Here Brooklyn is Brooklyn and the City (Manhattan) is the City.

One more thing - NYers live in neighborhoods (think a bunch of towns right next to each other). So, you're from Bay Ridge, Bed-Sty, Flatbush, Bushwick, Sunset, Cobble Hill, Park Slope, Williamsburg. When you're in the City and people ask where you're from you're from Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, or where ever.

Ha ha, exactly, there is not much more annoying than somebody screaming how bad they are because they are from here or there, it makes me cringe every time. If you spend your time trying to convince people how hard you are its pretty easy to see through and you look like a joke.

Back with another episode of Brooklyn shenanigans. This time it's the aformentioned Brooklyn's favorite son, Shannon Briggs going after our beloved World Heavyweight Champion Wladimir Klitshcko:
