Nice win for Yaegashi. Strike two for Sosa at 112. At his age, wonder if he will fight on for another shot.

He seemed a bit marked up. I wouldn't say it was a completely dominant victory. This peterson fellow asked a lot of questions of him. He landed a lot of punches from different angles, used movement to box on the back-foot and looked quite good, but didn't have the power or strength in the end.

Murata was clearly landing the more accurate and powerful punches though.

I want to cut him some slack since it's only his second pro fight and he had two tough/experienced opponents to start off.
We'll see down the line if he learns or levels off

Good win for Yaegashi. I can't help but think that the open scoring made him stick to boxing. He knew he built a lead after the 4th and had was still winning after the 8th. I think that was a big factor in Yaegashi not taking anymore risks than he really needed to. Either way it's still one if the best wins of his career and will most likely lead to a Ikoa rematch next year.

As for Murata. He showed he has some decent power but his defense is porous and he needs to work on that. Going 8 rounds in your 2nd pro fight is impressive in itself, but getting the stoppage in the last round is a good sign of his conditioning. As he gets more rounds in against better opposition he'll hopefully show improvement. He definitely not a threat at 160 yet.
