  • Comments Thread For: Carl Froch Prefers To 'Move Forward' - Not Face Groves

Carl Froch has all but dismissed the idea of going 'over old ground' in a rematch with George Groves.

The WBC and IBF middleweight champion was on Ringside for the first time since his controversial win on November 23.

Groves has demanded a rematch after being stopped in the ninth round of their contest and promoter Eddie Hearn has even admitted he - as a fan - wants to see a second showdown. [Click Here To Read More]

Froch doesn't have to do anything. He's earned the right to let the offers come in and take the best one available.

Ugly Kid can suck on his own medicine. He knows all about ducking rematches.

I like Foch but this is full contradiction. He doesn't want to do a rematch with Groves yet stresses and yaps to the public demanding a Ward rematch in the UK?

Groves has his number, cant blame Froch for not wanting the rematch, but I always thought of Froch as a throwback fighter that would want to settle the score

If Froch faces Ward again, fair enough. But Froch shouldn't stoop down to Groves' level, refusing rematches for no reason other than not wanting to fight him again.

I like Froch but a Groves rematch would be nice -- especially since I think Ward stops him the second time around. Or beats the **** out of him again.

I feel like Froch is going to get KOd in his next fight. If he fights Groves, he may stop Groves again. But if he goes after a high profile fight with Groves situation unresolved, that will backfire on him. 'Poetic justice'.

When he gets stopped, people will assume Groves was going to get the better of him all along. So the fight with Groves will go down the history books as a robbery. Which is a pity, as to me the rematch is still a 50/50 affair.

                    Settle what score?

Froch won the fight via stoppage.
