You never want to be too eager especially as a guy like bradley who has struggled to catch on with the public, he made less money than Marquez for their fight. It's a different ballpark when the public is asking for something and the pressure is on the promoter to make it happen, it means both men end up with more money in their pocket. If Bradley starts demanding the rematch and saying he's willing to do anything to make it happen you better believe he'll be shafted in negotiations.

Gee....this comes as a shock. April 12th date announced after Pacs win over rios? Then arum says Pacs two REAL options are Bradley or a 364th bout with Marquez, with the Mayweather as the smoke screen. Can some please tell someone at Top Rank to be more creative with their approach to selecting a fight? I mean come on man. Even if i already know that the public will be getting recycled fights, at least give something to think about. But i do like the classic lines "there are a few details that need to be ironed out. We'll crunch some numbers and see what we come up with"....lol.

But on the real...Bradley needs to really do a number on Manny in order to keep his crown. Word on the street is Bradleys contract is up next year as is Manny's and Arum is known to try to hang an Lon a his fighters if they are trying to leave him. I dont think arum would let Bradley walk away with that WBO crown around his waist. If anything, giving Manny his crown back might be an enticment for Manny to sign an extention....AGAIN. i

If that's the case, he should have taken the 13mil offer for the rematch. Even now a rematch with Pacquiao will still be his biggest $ fight out there for him.

If Schaeffer and Mayweather came to the table with a 50/50 deal you better believe Arum would jump on that this time around..the dates can be cancelled it's with in the window to cancel it. I'm not sure if Arum is trying to cash out now because he thinks Pacquaio is over the hill or he genuinely believes mayweather has lost a step or something but I think if 50/50 was on the table today that fight would be made in hours. Arum isn't going to be the head of Top Rank much longer I don't think he wants to say goodbye to the sport not having made the fight and may be regretting dissing Schaeffer in 2008. I don't believe the fight had any real chance of happening before regardless of whose fault it was, I still think both companies stood too much to lose at the time in their top stars running a chance to lose the bout. The fight won't ever happen now, the offer would be too low these days anyway.

As the saying goes hindsight is 20/20, he felt disrespected and his pride cost him $13 million. I doubt he gets $13 million now though.

At this point, Manny would be fortunate to get 35%

I used to think that way to but here are the facts. And I learned this through a promoter who comes to this web site, his name is Terry Trekas. He has done a number of ESPN cards as well as the Tarver/Jones 2 fight among others. The fact is, The Boxer works for the Promoter, not the other way around. Only guys like Floyd and Vitali have a heavy choice in who they fight. 99% of the Boxers are bound by contract where the Promoter determines the opponent, site details, and a thousand other aspects. Here is the question you can ask yourself which helps to see why what I am saying here is the truth. Who puts up the money for the fight and guarantees the Boxer the monies, percentages, etc? Does the Boxer put up the money? Nope. It's the guy who fronts the money to lock in all the details regarding the site, etc. That tells you who makes the decisions. So when a Boxer says it is up to his Promoter, he is telling the absolute truth. The Boxer could easily say "I am next going to fight ___________input name to the left. The Promoter would have a serious issue with the Boxer jumping the gun. If there was discussion between the Boxer and Promoter and preliminary talks about the opponent were in place or a contingency upon winning a fight leads to an already agreed upon fight, then the Boxer will say who he is fighting next.

I think people are making too much out of the Rios numbers and the two loses. One thing that's undeniable, the man has a hardcore audience. I don't know one fighter on earth who could lose two fights (one by brutal KO) and still have any sort of drawing power whatsoever under those circumstances. The rios fight was ill promoted, placed in a bad location and was a tune up...most fighters wouldn't have in a million years dared to put that up on ppv and they managed what 500k against rios...I thought the fight would do maybe 300k in the world considering in the region Pacquaio holds the rights to his fights and they get shown on their version or our ABC/NBC. If we thought Canelo vs Mayweather was a huge event it would pale in comparison to this potential fight but again we'll never know.
