Mayweather could've picked a much worse opponent than Amir

Khan has wins over Molina, Diaz,Malignaggi, Maidana, Judah, Barrera, Kotelnik, and McCloskey(not great but quality). That's a better resume than most other 147 lbers out there. He is chinny but against Floyd, that is not as big of a problem as if he were fighting Pac, Provodnikov, Garcia, etc. So not Floyd's best opponent, but very clearly not worth all this criticism. This may end up being a very tough fight for Floyd. If it's a done deal as is being rumored.

I wouldn't have so much of a problem had Khan fully bounced back from his KO loss. He's looked god awful since. When a Mayweather KO is a legit prediction, it's a terrible opponent.

Khan could have fought once more in 2013, what do you think? That's all I was hoping to see before this fight was even considered

I don't know. I think this is a good option. I think Garcia is not ready for a fight like this. Khan has a large fan base in the UK and he can box. He has a soft chin but so do the klits.

Yeh, he could have. But let's remember other fights that Floyd has fought that were hyped up- Victor Ortiz, whose sig win was Andre Berto, only a fight or two after getting KO'd by Maidana, and Guerrero, who had good wins at lighter weights but who's big win at 147 was..... Andre Berto after the Ortiz loss. I'm just saying Amir is a more legit than either of those guys.
