Why Pac fans should NOT want the Prov fight.

Yes pacquiao most likely whips provo, but i agree with some things op said. Provo prolly hits a little harder, but i think rios and provo have about the same KO %.... actually just checked, rios is higher. this doesnt mean much but honestly, the difference between rios and provo's punch isn't that devastating.

Look at one of the vids posted in the other pac/ruslan thread... after the marquez KO pac was still dominating ruslan in sparring, and that was from a russian guy. fight prolly doesn't happen but if you're a manny fan i think the bradley fight makes more sense. a bradley W does miles better for his legacy if he beats up provo which fans will just discredit as another rios type overmatched opponent

The real problem is after Pac got KO'd by JMM alot of Pac fans jumped on the Matthysse/Prov bandwagon and now they built up Prov to be a monster and they're not sure what would happen to Pac or their other Fav. Truth is they know this could end up being the fight that takes Pac one fight closer to the end of his career, because Pac hasnt been the KO machine in WW that some remember him or claim him to be, and Prov will not stop coming and wear Pac down and finish him. This is boxing. I believe Floyd and Broner will eventually throw down also.

Honestly Pacquiao wouldn't really benefit much from a Provodnikov fight. He's better off fighting the bigger names at this point in his career. Bradley is the #3 P4P fighter, so why not avenge his loss to Bradley. It's sad though that really Pacquiaos only choices at this stage due to the TR/GBP feud is Marquez, Bradley, Provodnikov & Alvarado. Pacquiao probably has 5 fights tops left in him so TR/GBP better stop bsing and put differences aside so the big fights can be made not just for Pacquiao, but in general. Pacquiao should fight Bradley in a rematch, Mayweather, Garcia, Thurman, & Broner for his last fights.

I dont wanna see it happen because i am a Ruslan fan. Dont want to see him take a loss right after he a win. Hes in the spot light now. Move on a fight other names. JMM comes to mind.
I wont be an easy fight for Pac...but he will win!

No I'd say both have qualities that are better than the other, Provodnikov's defense and the way his face swells is the reason why this fight would be an ugly one for him.

Hard to know really. Manny probably doesn't have any fights left as an elite level fighter either way. Would it be better for him to give us a few classic wars while he's still up to it?

I agree it would be ugly, but expecting Pac to score a highlight reel KO on him is a little much. He can slice and dice his face up without knocking the guy cold, that almost certainly wouldn't happen.
