  • Pacquiao-Provonikov would be better than Floyd-Khan right now. At least Rusland looked good in his last fight, and almost beat Bradley.

You can make a case for Provodnikov not losing any of his fights, but the Bradley fight was definitely a split down the middle. If Pac wins clearly, it's a pretty good win.

This at 140 for his WBO title would be good. But as Provodnikov has already looked decent against Bradley at 147, I don't mind either way. There's nothing really to suggest he's any better/worse at either weight
I wouldn't say "GREAT", it's a decent fight IMO. He at least almost beat Bradley, and beat down Alvarado. It's certainly better than Khan-Floyd. But I'd still love to see Manny fight guys like Alexander, Thurman, Guerrero, Broner-Maidana winner, other Welterweights.

But given what Pac has available, this would be a decent fight.

I still haven't seen the fight. All I know of what happen is what a couple buddies have told me. I didn't bother to stream it the night it happen. And I didn't even watch the replay last Sat. I was locked in on the Iron Bowl. I imagine if I get bored enough, I'll watch it OnDeman. But I have/had very lil interest in that fight because Rios is so terrible.

If the plan was to ease Pac back into top level competition following the KO, Provo is a good progression fight. But personally, I never bought into him having any lingering affects because he's been KO'd before. So he has experience in bouncing back.

dude save yourself the hour and a half. i watch EVERYTHING and that was a weak effort. pac wasnt as busy as usual but had great footwork early but there were def chances for rios to throw combos and he just wouldnt punch it was frustrating

              • Why is he trying to force it. So Provo can't train with Freddie then

He didn't train with Roach for Alvarado and looked better than I've ever seen him. And I've been watching him for years on ESPN. Roach is meaningless.

                    • Bob Arum is a piece of ship. All he cares about is making double the money on promotion because he promotes both fighters. Knowing that Freddie Roach trains both of them and they are friends and that he's running out of in house fights he puts this bs up.
