then it shows ggg has a good following when a foreigner draws more than the local fighter. Fight was pretty much sold out

Is that article suggesting that Lee's performance against Fitzgerald in Belfast was part of a plan? He definitely didn't look comfortable that night, he looked terrible against a club fighter.

I like Lee and I'd like to think Booth can develop a bit of defensive craftiness in him but I'm not optimistic. Top level pressure fighters are going to find it too easy to get to him.

I guess that is why Golovkin is struggling to get the right opponents... too little money for what is likely going to set most middleweights careers back.

Murray doesn't need Golovkin for the time being either, he can make more money in bigger fights fighting in the UK vs Lee, Barker, Macklin or BJ Saunders, all of which would be less risky.

This phaggot Murray turned down 500,000 in Monaco along with a shot last year in Canada and he's pretending he wants to fight while his promoter pays off the WBA to get him a vacant belt. Can't stand this guy.

I like Murray but fact is he has technically been promised a shot at Barker by Barker himself on sky sports in UK,the fight will earn him more than a GGG fight if they're only offering 300k.not sure where you got 500k from ! Murray I believe would beat Barker.

Do you have a source for this offer?

              Probably not.

im fine with barker wanting that. Problem is there are a few roadblocks for this. First the Sturm fight, which barker should win, but you never know. He has the rematch clause im England just in case. Next, Shaw has an option on Barker from the Geale fight right?

My point is.... Murray is gonna have to wait a while unless he fights geale for the regular belt and unifies with Barker...which at that point is just plain silly

I'm sure they would offer Murray more than 300k to fight GGG in April on HBO.

These problems with nobody knowing who GGG is are a thing of the past. His name has grown leaps and bounds, first from the Macklin fight, now from the Stevens fight. Another likely KO victory in February to stay busy, and he'll be on a big HBO show in late April and able to fight someone like Geale or Murray you'd think (for 500k+).

Ye I see your point.i get the feeling Murray sees Barker as an easier title fight than facing GGG,a fight he can return to should he narrowly lose to Barker or of course unify should he win.

Shaw I believe has an option, but they didn't include a rematch clause right ? I remember reading an interview with Shaw after Geale lost,it sounded as though they didn't believe Barker had any chance of the win.I must admit I thought Geale actually won that night.

It seems their will be quite a few roadblocks between a possible Murray v Barker assuming Barker does in fact beat Felix Saturday evening, unless Murray is prepared to take a Barker match up for a pittance,Shaw will surely be owed a percentage,I don't see why Murray would take that fight if he believes he is being lowballed by K2.

Id like to see one of them five GGG anyhow, though I'm about as optimistic of Quillin facing GGG than Barker himself, after his post fight comments and general reluctance to answer any questions straight after the Geale win.

Have you ever been to a fight? More than half the people in msg was there for ggg than Curtis in Curtis's backyard
he just hates GGG for some reason ... if he is talking about standard of opposition it's kinda hypocritical considering his avatar ... but anyway

Didn't GGG already offer Murray a fight which murray turned down? How is it he went all quiet when the fight was being suggested and actually offered to him but now that GGG has signed to fight somebody else he finds his voice again and starts name dropping?
